I am convinced that I need a “do over” in raising my children…especially my oldest. Looking back, I was a different parent to our third child than when I was a first-time parent. I read book after book, article after article, about being a parent for the first time. Making a schedule to follow each day, instantly consoling tears, introducing baby foods at the right time, cleaning her up instantly after getting dirty — THAT is, if I even allowed her to play in dirt. Please tell me you know what I am talking about…all of those things that we did as a parent for the first time and by the time our third child came around, I had the “You will be all right, go back to playing” mentally!
